Kavita India Journal
A quarterly online publication carrying poems, translations, essays, interviews, and archival materials from across the languages of India.
The Inaugural Issue
The first issue of the Kavita India Journal brings together poems, translations, essays, and conversations from the languages and traditions represented in the collective. It marks the beginning of an ongoing publication that will appear quarterly.
This issue carries work emerging from the interactions around the July 2026 event series — including reflections on publishing, anthology-making, and translation — alongside original poems in multiple Indian languages with English translations.

About the Journal

without borders
The Kavita India Journal is published quarterly and serves as a meeting place for languages and traditions that rarely appear together within the same publication.

An editorial team is already in place. Details of the submission process and editorial guidelines will be announced ahead of each issue.
